When Vince Soria signs in to the contractor portal, he lands on My Investigations — a focused, mobile-first dashboard that shows only the work he owns. No team queue, no other investigators’ requests, no firm-side noise. Just his assignments. The four stat cards
Across the top: Total Assigned, Pending, In Progress, and Completed. They tally only this contractor’s work, in real time. The dashboard auto-refreshes every 30 seconds — you can stay on this screen during a workday and watch new assignments appear without needing to reload. A small Auto-refresh: 30s badge appears in the desktop header so investigators know the page is live.Assignment cards
Each assignment becomes a card showing everything an investigator needs before heading out:Left: property and firm

The action button changes by status:
- Start Investigation —
PENDINGorACCEPTED. Opens the mobile form fresh. - Continue Form —
IN_PROGRESS. Resumes the form with all saved categories restored. - View Submission —
COMPLETED. Read-only view of what was submitted.
Get Directions link on the card body — see Get Directions for how it hands off to your phone’s native maps app.Schedule view (today)
The cards stack newest at the top by default. If you have an assignment scheduled for today, it floats to the top with the scheduled date prominently displayed. Most investigators triage their day visually from this stack: top three are AM site visits, next two are afternoon, completed ones move out of view automatically when you switch to the “active” filter. [Screenshot: Three assignment cards stacked, with the top one showing “Scheduled: Today” and an Urgent priority badge]Empty state
When you have no assignments, the dashboard shows a centered “No investigations assigned” empty card. As soon as your SP manager assigns you a request, it’ll appear here on the next 30-second refresh — no need to reload.Refreshing manually
The Refresh button in the header forces an immediate fetch. Use this if you just got a phone call from your manager telling you a new urgent request is coming and you don’t want to wait for the auto-refresh tick.Signing out
The avatar/initials in the top-right (or the icon in the contractor sidebar header) opens the sign-out menu. Sessions persist about 30 days on a trusted device — you don’t need to sign out at the end of every shift. This dashboard is the entry point. From any assignment card, the next step is the Mobile Investigation Form — the actual field workflow.
